Welcome to the website for the Handmade Bazaar, Portland's bi-annual buy/sell/trade handmade arts & crafts sale. In addition to our events in June and December, we host a variety of other sales and events at venues and houses around town. The focus of our efforts is on building community around creativity, and we provide a space to show and share ideas, hang out, shop and listen to music. The way the event happens is fully dependent on what people bring to it.
The Handmade Bazaar has been going strong since the spring of 2000, promoting the DIY ethic and supporting the handmade community in Portland, Oregon. For more information on how we got started and why, visit our info & history page. Mailing list: If you wish to be added to the Handmade Bazaar e-mail list, contact Meredith via the address on the right. Curious about what you've missed? Check out a calendar of previous Handmade Bazaars. If you're wondering how to set up a Bazaar of your own wherever you live, check out our step-by-step, instructional "how to" page to get yourself started. There are so many inspiring and creative people who have brought their work to the Bazaars over the years, so we have compiled a list of links to their websites so that you can learn more about them and what they do. We have also added links to the various venues that have hosted our events, and to the websites of musicians who have played their songs in years past. Thank you for visiting our website, and please join us at our next scheduled event!
